Stu Tracy

Stuart “Stu” Tracy was born in 1943. He joined KPHO TV-5 in 1970 after a stint on KPHO radio, which then was at 910 AM. The station was sold, and Tracy moved over to the TV side as a weatherman. He was joined seven years later by radio colleague Roger Downey. When he retired in 2001, Tracy was one of only a few on-air people left from the days when Channel 5 was an independent. Downey and Bud Gindhart were the others. Stu is a member of the Rocky Mountain Emmys’ Sliver Circle Society. In retirement he enjoys flying and motorcycles.
